BEANS & BREWS
where the kettle never stops, even at low tide
✦

A roastery port on the Grand Line. The brick chimney never quite stops smoking. Beans dry on the dock, sacks stacked in pyramids waiting for the next ship. The café tables out front fill before the sun is over the harbour wall.
Took a fire last season — the roastery's back up but the village is still rebuilding around it. The kettle didn't stop, though, not even on the worst day. Locals say a port is what doesn't close when it should.
Recovery underway. The lanterns are coming back one by one.
