BOSS APPARELS

where the looms have run since 1968

A painting of Boss Apparels island — a Mediterranean tailoring guild with tile roofs, looms, bolts of cloth under awnings, a bell tower with a gold lantern, and cypress trees
bolts counted at dawn · 2026.05.24

An old guild town. The bell tower has kept the rhythm since '68 — the looms underneath it haven't stopped for much longer than a holiday since. Bolts of cloth under awnings, drying lines strung between rooftops, the smell of pressed wool in every alley.

Twice a year the ships sail to Europe with the trunks aboard. The same families have ordered for three generations. The harbour knows their names before they walk off the gangplank. Nothing about this island is fast, and nothing about it is going anywhere.

Trunk shows next sailing: London, autumn.
