SECONDBALL

where every storm sounds like a stadium roaring

A painting of secondball island — a green football pitch carved into the hillside, wooden bleachers, a scout's watchtower with an amber lantern, a red-tile-roof village, and palm trees
match day from the scout’s tower · 2026.05.24

An island built around a pitch. Green grass marked in chalk that won't wash off, wooden bleachers carved from driftwood, a scout's watchtower with an amber lantern that's lit through every match — including the ones nobody else is watching.

The tower sees every game in the league. Notes get taken. Tape gets cut. The villagers talk shape, second balls, who's really pressing and who's only running. The island is still being built — this season is foundations, the stadium comes later.

Match reports and tactical writing will sail from this harbour soon.

Coming Ashore

The pitch is being prepared. First publications will appear here when the floodlights come on.
